Sollicitations Avril 2014 : DC Comics

Et voici les sollicitations de DC Comics pour le mois d’avril prochain ! et une chose est sûre : le programme est chargé entre les nouvelles séries, les nouvelles équipes créatives et les annulations ou fin de séries !

Le principal évènement de ce mois d’avril est bien entendu le lancement de Batman Eternal, série Hebdo qui va occuper le Bat-Verse pendant l’année à venir ! une équipe créative chevronnée au scénario comme au dessin et la promesse d’explorer tout l’univers de Batman comme jamais. Sans aucun doute l’une des séries les plus attendues de chez DC pour 2014!

Un univers DC qui en ce mois d’avril assimile enfin les conséquences de Forever Evil. En effet tout du long, les évènements du crossover sont restés contenus dans la mini principale, les titres Justice League, et des mini ties ins. En ce mois d’avril, pas mal de séries prennent en compte la situation post Forever Evil. En premier lieu bien entendu, les titres Justice League, entre la fin de Justice League of America et le lancement annoncé de Justice League United par Jeff Lemire, avec une équipe vraiment attractive et des personnages que le scénariste connaît bien comme Green Arrow ou Animal Man. Mais aussi des personnages que j’espère il va pouvoir réparer comme Hawkman….Je suis surpris par contre qu’il récupère Star Girl. Etant donné que c’est un personnage important pour Geoff Johns, j’aurais cru qu’il voudrait l’intégrer dans un de ses titres…On notera au passage que c’est sans doute la première fois en 10 ans que Johns est crédité pour aussi peu de choses chez DC, avec une seule série ! Bon il est probable que Geoff veuille se reposer après 7 mois de crossover, mais ça fait bizarre tout de même ! Nul doute, que DC va lui trouver quelques séries pour remplir son agenda…

Outre Justice League United, plusieurs nouvelle séries sont annoncées : Aquaman and the Others, sans doute la première fois dans l’histoire qu’Aquaman a deux séries à son nom…, Secret Origins qui va revenir sur les origines New 52 des personnages, en espérant que cette série apporte des éclaircissements et pas des contradictions…, Sinestro…encore un personnage que Geoff Johns a revampé de manière tellement réussie qu’il récupère un titre solo !

Côté nouvelles équipes créatives, il y a bien sûr la reprise de Flash par Vendetti, Jensen et Booth, qui annoncent au passage le retour de Wally West, mais différent, dans un annual. Il y a ensuite la reprise annoncée depuis un moment de Detective Comics par Manapul et Buccelatto. Enfin du côté des fins de séries, 6 titres s’achèvent en avril : Superman Unchained est la plus grosse perte pour DC. On pensait que Snyder resterait après le départ de Jim Lee, mais manifestement avec 4 autres séries régulières sur le feu (avec ses creator owned), quelque chose devait sauter…Dommage pour la franchise Superman qui perd là son titre le plus vendeur …Il y a aussi l’annulation de Nightwing…sans doute en raison des évènements de Forever Evil. Ensuite nous avons Suicide Squad, Justice League of America, Stormwatch, et enfin Teen Titans.

Inutile de dire que ces annulations ne sont pas les dernières, on annonce dans les prochains mois la disparition de Larfleeze, et je doute fort que des choses comme Justice League Dark, Phantom Stranger, Pandora, Movement, et d’autres passent l’année…

  1. Secret Origins qui commence avec deux personnages dont on a déjà eu les débuts, ça promet comme série dites donc…

    Étonnant cet arrêt de Superman Unchained, Scott Snyder disait pourtant vouloir continuer l’aventure après le départ de Jim Lee, mais avec le nombre de séries consacrées à Superman et la petite deception pour certains qu’est son titre c’est pas plus mal.

    Comme on l’avait appris il y a peu Tony Daniel quitte Superman/Wonder Woman, bonne chance au successeur Paulo Siqueira vu comment son prédécesseur a placé la barre haute !

    mis à part la couverture bien sure.

    • A part la couverture il n’y en a pas, la Watchmen Internation Edition est en fait destinée au marché anglais à la base, mais la magie d’internet fait que de toute façon toutes les éditions sont achetables d’un peu partout.
